Jake and I celebrated our 8-year anniversary last night by seeing Band of Horses in Big Sur at the Henry Miller Library. We didn’t get home until 1am, after which Seabass welcomed us by crying for food at 2:15am and then greeted the day at 6:30am by rolling over and wailing like a stuck pig.
The show was really fun, but today I could be confused with a character from Night of the Living Dead. Was it worth it? I’m not sure. What do you think?
Split in the middle on that one. I would say when I was a new mother, sleep is so needed and hard to function without, so I vote no way.
However, now as a mom of preschoolers, who are a little more forgiving of a sleep deprived mom, I can vote yes and get away with a couple hours of sleep.
Hopefully he will have a nice nap and you can sleep too!
Wait until their teenagers…the look gets worse.
We did the same thing on Thursday night, went out to celebrate our anniversary, leaving Ani in the care of her nanny. Her nanny was excited about it, by the way, because it was bath night and she hadn’t gotten to give our three month old a bath yet. Ani fragmented all over the place overnight, ending with a screaming wake-up at 5:40am. I had to be at work at 7am. Living dead, indeed. But worth it for a night out with my love…
