Me + PPD = An entertaining radio show

The Dave Congalton Show

If you can’t get enough of the weeping and gnashing of teeth here on the Higher Highs, Lower Lows blog, tune in to KVEC 920 AM tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3pm PST to hear me discuss my experience with postpartum depression on the Dave Congalton Show.   Oh yes.

If you’ll be outside the local airzone, you can listen live by clicking here.

In case I die of nerves or fright or sheer humiliation on air, I want you all to know how much your audience, comments, and support have meant to me since I started talking about Seabass behind his back last year.  Thank you.

You are going to do great!!! I was so nervous at first when I went on, but Dave makes you feel really comfortable and it’s so much easier when you don’t have to look at faces/eyes when you speak.

Oops…by the way, this is Ariana. 🙂

I just wanted to tell you that you are seriously awesome for being so open. A lot of women will use your honesty and self-awareness to take a deeper look at themselves. Reading your last PPD post actually gave me an “Ah-ha” moment. My daughter, husband and I thank you. 🙂 We’ll be at Music hour at Boo Boos tomorrow so maybe I’ll get the chance to thank you in person!
(BTW- your little Seabass keeps getting cuter. How is that possible?)

Awesome! Not about you dying of fear, but about you being on the show. 🙂

    Good luck J!
I just have to say again how much your blog has meant to me in my own year of new Mommy hood. So many shared experiences (including the ppd) with a feisty all out determined little boy of my own (just a few months younger than SB). You’ve been a life raft for me more than you know. All the best. I’ll be listening.

I’ll be listening…a very proud Oma am I.

Jaime! Your segment with Dave was incredible. Although I don’t have PPD, I definitely had baby blues for a while and so many things hit home. Love what you said about Jake being there for you. Jake and Ryan are in the same boat about baby #2… We’ll see what the future holds! Great job being a voice for so many mom’s that need encouragement getting help & support.

Thanks for the link. That was a really fantastic interview. Dave was gentle and understanding and asked some great questions. You were open, honest, and sounded very together. It sounds like you have a terrific husband:)
